Proprietary Considerations
The Iron Lantern does not depend on an unproven patent. Its defensibility comes from a coordinated brand, land knowledge, operating systems, guest data and distinctive experiences that become harder to copy as the ranch matures.
Defensible operating assets
The Iron Lantern name, apocalyptic-rustic design language and mascot family—sasquatch, eagle, a man with his dog and a robotic assistant.
Habitat maps, trails, hunt zones, timber records, 3D forestry scans and a property digital twin.
Hunt/camp/aqua separation, arrival controls, safety checklists, pricing rules and phase-release gates.
Booking history, hunter preferences, trophy-fee realization, campsite demand, group pipelines and unit economics.
Gate and check-in workflows, firewood and rental requests, equipment tracking, digital guides and future mowing.
Cabin, container, caboose and fuselage concepts plus outdoor AR and robotics demonstrations tied to the land.
Protection plan
- Complete trademark clearance before filing The Iron Lantern name, logo and mascot marks; secure matching domains and social handles.
- Use written work-for-hire and IP-assignment terms with designers, developers, photographers, engineers and contractors.
- Obtain photo, video, model and location releases; maintain brand and asset registers.
- Protect customer, herd, financial, forestry and security records with role-based access, backups and retention rules.
- Review software, robotics, mapping and AR vendor terms for data ownership, portability, cybersecurity, support and termination rights.
- Use confidentiality terms for sensitive seller records and diligence materials.
Outdoor AR and robotics
The plan describes an outdoor AR arena and future robotics demonstration/retail program. It does not claim ownership of the Sandbox VR brand or system. Any branded partnership, licensed content or third-party hardware must receive written permission and separate economics, safety and insurance review.
Acquisition diligence
Identify which seller assets transfer: business and trade names, domains, phone numbers, customer lists and consent status, hunt records, animal inventories, maps, photos, vendor contracts, permits, warranties, equipment software, access credentials and operating manuals. Excluded or nontransferable assets must be replaced in the startup budget.
Planning framework only. Legal counsel should verify clearance, ownership, privacy, licensing and transferability before closing.
